EDIT: Thanks so, so, SO much for the DD!! :D It was such a nice surprise to wake up to today!
~~~~~~
Here's part two of my push pull assignment! Marco tries again, and with better results. Now watch, the chest'll be empty or something. :iconimhappyplz:
The animation in this one was supposed to be more Looney Tunes style than the other one. I didn't want to exaggerate it THAT much though so I did a sort of blend between natural and exaggerated.
I highly recommend watching in DivX quality. Otherwise it's too small to really tell what's going on...
So yes. Enjoy. :D
@00:25Hey! I love your animations. It's my fream too become n animator one day, but I'm still young. May I ask a few questions?
1. How did you start off your animating career?
2. What program do you use for your computer animation, like this one?
3. Is being an animator worth it?
Thanks!
@00:251. I don't really have a "career" in animation yet since I'm still in college, but when I started I was just doing stuff for fun in Flash and Photoshop. Nothing big, but I worked my way up. My first animation was just a dog wagging his tail. When I realized it was what I really wanted to do in life I started researching good colleges that taught animation and researched what they wanted in a portfolio. I managed to get into an excellent school and most of the stuff I've learned occurred there.
2. I use Autodesk Maya for my 3D animations, and Flash for the 3D ones.
3. If you love doing something, it's worth it. :D
@00:25how long did you take to make that! i just purchased the program MAYA and was wondering how you went about doing this. I am a begginner so the program bugs the heck out of me when i can't seem to get anywhere!! ....Care to shed some light?
Oh dear... I did this after about a year and a half of being taught the program by teachers. The whole project itself took about 2 months of daily work. But honestly, I'm the worst person to ask about Maya. I don't even know where to start. :( I'm sure you'd be able to find some tutorials online though!
well its not that your bad at it(which is incorrect to say)but you have more talent than i do in this area of work, i have never been able to animate anything, so this was an inspiration nonetheless(and if anything, amazingly cute).
Do you know someone else i could ask about maya? i recently purchased the 2012 version, and don't know a clue on how to render, animate, create a character(like yours or something similar)or just build stuff on it. so explaining your process, what tools you used could help me ginormously...if you are willing to help? i don't have the funding(yet)to go to the art institute where they teach a full fricken class about this program, so your knowledge is an oportunity.
lynda.com is a VERY helpful resource when it comes to Maya things. I've never used it myself, but my friends have used it and they have tons of video tutorials, even on the basic things. You have to buy a subscription I think, but it seems really helpful. And a lot more helpful than me explaining things could do. :\ Maya just isn't really a program that you can teach through text. Videos help a LOT. Good luck!
i'll try that,thanks, a subscription might be an issue, but if its for a job than i won't have to worry(I get funding for stuff that counts as a job) i agree that its not very handy through text, but even little bits are helpful...wait, like this!
